What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Therapist position at Field Memorial Community Hospital?
Respiratory Therapist –(1) Part-Time, (1)PRN Field Health System- Centreville, MS Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the differences in techniques and treatment modalities as performed on patients of varying ages, including pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients. Exhibits knowledge of and complies with state, federal and JCAHO regulations. Maintains ACLS and BLS certifications. Sets up and monitors mechanical ventilators and the associated critical care duties required for treatment such as airway management and tracheal suctioning. Performs arterial punctures to obtain arterial blood samples for blood gas analysis, and understands the possible complications and contraindications associated with the procedure. Performs EKG’s as ordered. Capable or working independently as an RT and assists other staff members as needed. This position is for night shift.
