Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Norfolk, Virginia for the role of Marine Deck Installer. The Marine Deck Installer will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of marine decking systems on a variety of vessels and facilities. Daily tasks include precision installation, reading and interpreting blueprints, preparation of decking materials, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role may involve working on ships, boats, or marine structures, and collaborating with a team to meet project deadlines efficiently.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Marine Operations and Maritime procedures.
- Understanding of Navy standards and familiarity with boat maintenance and repair.
- Experience in training and upskilling team members in relevant technical skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics relevant to decking installations.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Physical ability to handle manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in a marine or maritime industry-related role is highly desirable.
