This role provides leadership across operations, maintenance, safety, environmental compliance, and financial performance while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Position Overview
The Plant Manager oversees the daily operations of cement plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable production. This role provides leadership across operations, maintenance, safety, environmental compliance, and financial performance while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Plant Manager leads plant leadership teams to achieve production targets, maintain product quality, and align operational performance with business objectives.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily plant operations to ensure optimal productivity, cost control, and consistent product quality.
- Oversee and enforce all plant safety programs, ensuring compliance with company policies, MSHA regulations, and applicable health and safety laws.
- Review and direct maintenance planning, including preventive maintenance, to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime and costs.
- Develop short- and long-term production plans to align materials, equipment, staffing, and production requirements.
- Coordinate with sales and commercial teams to ensure product availability and support annual business planning efforts.
- Oversee plant expansions, capital projects, and system modifications, coordinating internal teams and external contractors.
- Ensure compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of managers, supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel.
- Manage plant budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field required.
- Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of plant management experience in cement manufacturing required.
- Strong knowledge of cement production processes and plant equipment required.
- Working knowledge of MSHA regulations required.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
- Ability to communicate company vision, mission, and values and align plant goals and KPIs accordingly.
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence, professionalism, and effective leadership presence.
- Commitment to serving and developing others while building trust and accountability.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven manufacturing environment.
