Business Analyst

Job Overview

This is a technical role centered on building and maintaining our core software products while leading the integration of AI technologies into our existing ecosystem. This role assists in the technical management of applications across all customers to deliver critical business outcomes.

We are specifically looking for candidates with a Master of Information Systems (MIS) or similar background who can navigate the technical rigors of software logic while maintaining the high-level business communication required to interface with stakeholders. You will be responsible for the "guts" of the application—coding business logic, leveraging SQL for data insights, and developing AI prompting strategies that ensure our products remain the industry standard

Responsibilities

• Application Development & Maintenance: Design, code, and maintain business logic and content within the application to support evolving industry trends and regulations.
• AI Technology Integration: Lead the integration of AI solutions into our applications, focusing on building sustainable, scalable AI-driven features.
• AI Prompting: Develop and refine complex AI prompts to enhance application functionality and automate sophisticated financial service workflows.
• Logic & Data Management: Use proprietary XML, JSON, and basic JavaScript on a daily basis. Utilize SQL to explore data, troubleshoot logic, and identify opportunities for product improvement.
• Technical Communication: Translate complex business requirements into clear, concise user stories, tickets, and acceptance criteria using Agile Scrum methodology.
• System Troubleshooting: Review and manage customer-reported bugs, identifying underlying logic issues and executing technical fixes.
• Collaborative Engineering: Work closely with product managers, developers, and sales to ensure the product is built to specification and meets customer needs.

Skills & Competencies

• Technical Building: A deep-seated interest in how applications are constructed and a desire to maintain high-quality code.
• AI Proficiency: Hands-on experience or academic focus on AI prompting and the practical integration of AI models into software.
• Data Fluency: Proficiency in SQL is highly helpful for data validation, reporting, and backend troubleshooting.
• Strategic Communication: The ability to explain technical "hows" to business stakeholders and translate business "whats" into technical requirements.
• Analytical Rigor: Strong problem-solving skills with a sharp attention to detail in a rule-based environment.

Education & Experience

• Education: Master of Information Systems (MIS) is highly preferred. A technical Bachelor's degree with a strong emphasis on systems architecture or data logic is required.
• Technical Experience: 1–2 years of experience in coding (JavaScript, JSON, SQL, or VBA). We are willing to train those with high technical aptitude, but a foundational understanding of programming and database logic is essential.
• Project Ownership: Proven ability to own the lifecycle of a project, from initial requirement gathering to maintenance and bug fixing.
• Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with financial services or Series 6/7 knowledge is a significant plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $90,000.00 per year
