We are looking for an exceptional Principal Coordinator to support the planning and logistics of our signature events, along with the engagement strategy for the Students and Grads Programs. The ideal candidate will have strong planning, organization, and communication skills, in addition to meticulous attention to detail. Summary of Responsibilities: Partner with key program stakeholders to help execute signature Students & Grads Program Events (Experience Weeks, Onboarding, Graduation) supporting event and logistics support services (fun events, catering, swag, hotel room blocks, etc.) in accordance with Capital One's support process, standards and systems Manage program budgets, which includes tracking, forecasting, and auditing information on a regular basis Help manage, identify, and implement process improvements that enhance the associate experience and/or operational efficiency Ensure compliance to policies and procedures through monitoring and coaching Coordinate ongoing campus hire and internship trainings and communications Manage program communications, including drafting and editing information to be distributed through Team calendar, Google Site, mailbox, newsletter and Slack Build and own relationships with internal clients, stakeholders, and external vendors Maintain upkeep of Google Drives and Google Sites spaces Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change Help escalate issues to ensure efficient resolution Proven problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills Ability to embrace new systems and process enhancements High degree of professionalism and integrity when interacting with all customer contacts Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification At least 1 year of experience in corporate event planning or project management At least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office or Google Suite Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or military experience At least 2 years of experience in corporate event planning or project management At least 2 years of experience in Microsoft Office or Google Suite Experience working in an agile environment At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $62,500 - $71,300 for Principal HR Coordinator Richmond, VA: $56,800 - $64,800 for Principal HR Coordinator Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
