About the Role
Capital Vacations is looking for a detail-oriented and organized HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team in Kissimmee, Flordia. In this role, you'll support the department across a wide range of clerical, payroll, and HR functions helping ensure our employees have a smooth, well-supported experience from onboarding through their day-to-day work. What You'll Do
- Support new hires by establishing personnel files and leading new hire orientations covering company policies, procedures, and benefits
- Partner with Hiring Managers and Recruiting department through the new hire onboarding processes
- Conduct workplace investigations related to employee relations, policy violations, attendance, and other HR matters; document findings and prepare investigation reports for management
- Compile, maintain, and update confidential employee records with a high degree of accuracy and compliance
- Respond to employment information requests from authorized personnel while safeguarding confidentiality
- Review and verify employee timecards, and process payroll-related data for submission to our payroll provider
- Prepare and submit accident and injury reports to the appropriate parties
- Perform data entry for new and existing employees including personnel information, time clock assignments, timecard edits, manager access, and timesheet maintenance
- Recommend and create HR processes and protocols to find and maintain efficiencies and clarity
- Serves as primary HR contact for front-line leaders and employees to answer questions and resolve employee relations issues
- Provide general administrative support across HR projects and initiatives
- Take on other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience in Human Resources or related field experience preferred
- Strong clerical skills to include experience working with Excel
- Ability to self-supervise and maintain confidentiality regarding HIPAA and personnel information
- Ability to communicate in a prompt, efficient manner while maintaining care and concern for team members
- Time management skills, including a sense of urgency/meeting deadlines on own
- Must be willing to participate in training delivery/public speaking
- Demonstrates empowerment to make decisions within the scope of job responsibilities
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Work Schedule & Conditions
- Regular hours, Monday-Friday, with additional hours as needed to meet deadlines
- Travel to other Florida sites as needed - includes Daytona, Hollywood Beach, Cocoa Beach, and Ormand Beach.
- Primarily a seated, office-based role with frequent standing, walking, and reaching; occasional light lifting/pushing/pulling (up to 25 lbs.)
