We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping & Receiving Clerk specialized in computer hardware to join our logistics team. This role involves managing the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of electronic components and equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless warehouse operations, maintain precise inventory records, and support order fulfillment processes. Your contribution will be vital in maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and timeliness within our distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments of computer hardware, verifying quantities and inspecting for damages using RF scanners and other tools.
- Shipping via UPS
- Prepare outgoing orders by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately according to customer specifications.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts safely to load and unload goods.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to track inventory movements and update stock records.
- Manage stock levels through regular stock counts, replenishing shelves, and coordinating with inventory control systems.
- Ensure proper packaging of electronic components to prevent damage during transit, adhering to safety standards.
- Assist with order fulfillment processes including order picking, packing, and shipping documentation preparation.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing shipments for timely dispatch via various carriers.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions using RF scanners and warehouse management software.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to optimize warehouse layout and improve workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience, preferably within the electronics or computer hardware industry.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment, and inventory management best practices.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and recordkeeping.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members across departments.
