Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes while providing exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing documentation, and operating delivery vehicles, all while maintaining compliance with trade regulations and safety standards. Fluency in both English and another language is required to facilitate effective communication with diverse clients and suppliers. Responsibilities

• Prepare shipping documentation accurately using inventory management software and ERP systems such as AS400 and MRPs.
• Load, unload, and organize goods efficiently using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring proper stocking and order picking.
• Operate company vehicles safely to deliver products locally or internationally, adhering to all transportation regulations and trade compliance standards.
• Manage shipping & receiving activities, including order fulfillment, packing, and labeling to meet customer specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of shipments, inventory levels, and data entry tasks within warehouse management systems.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely order picking, packing, and inventory updates.
• Assist in inventory management tasks such as stock counting, replenishment, and cycle counts.
• Support logistics planning by scheduling deliveries, tracking shipments, and resolving any discrepancies or delays.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding shipment status or delivery issues.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all warehouse operations and vehicle handling.

Experience

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or logistics roles within a distribution environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms.
• Hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers in a warehouse setting.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations and trade compliance standards.
• Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry and reporting purposes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and another language to support bilingual operations.
