What You Will Do:
As the Help Desk Technician focused on supporting IT Inventory tracking you will be part of our Cooperative Technology Services team. This team strives to ensure that all technology services are delivered effectively and efficiently to our subscribing school districts. In your role, you can expect the following
- Your day will be busy supporting the physical and digital trail of IT inventory: unboxing and tagging new gear, tracking user assignments and executing secure data wiping and e-waste procedures for obsolete equipment.
- You’ll use asset management software to oversee the end-to-end IT hardware lifecycle including purchasing, deployment, maintenance and secure disposal.
- Every interaction is a unique challenge, which includes coordinating with NERIC staff, district staff and vendors for rollout, imaging and pickup of IT devices while maintaining detailed records to manage repair workflows.
- You will serve as a technical resource to our Cooperative Technology Services teams located at various school districts.
- You will use your technical aptitude, training & communication techniques, and problem-solving skills to help others by providing IT support that keeps our organization and our client school districts up and running.

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or closely related field (Equivalent combination of education and paid experience as a computer technician will be considered). Specific experience in IT support, inventory control and asset management is ideal but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage precise records, streamline logistics planning, and maintain database integrity.
- Excellent customer service skills and an ability to build relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, web-conferencing and in-person
- Passion to help others and a personal drive for continuous learning and a desire to develop your skills
