Position Summary:
The Director of Human Resources/HR Business Partner will play a key leadership role as a strategic member of the executive team reporting to the CEO, aligning talent/recruiting strategies with business goals as CPE continues to expand. This position is critical in cultivating a high-performance culture, advancing employee engagement, and scaling HR operations to support growth across both the corporate headquarters and branch locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that support CPE's growth, including talent acquisition, organizational development, and succession planning.
- Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
- Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes, ensuring alignment with company goals and providing coaching to managers on employee development.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures.
- Compensation and Benefits: Manage compensation structures and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent, ensuring competitiveness within the industry, managing payroll duties, and keep in compliance with the Davis-Beacon Act of 1931.
- Culture & Values: Foster a cohesive, respectful workplace culture rooted in transparency and integrity by championing initiatives that promote open communication, mutual respect, and a sense of belonging across the organization.
- HR Operations: Streamline HR processes and systems for efficiency, including the implementation of HR technologies and data analytics for informed decision-making, experience/understanding of AI platforms or applications, and as well as establishing appropriate safeguards for all HR functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably within the industrial equipment or construction sectors.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead organizational change and drive HR initiatives.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis.
