What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asphalt Plant Loader Operator position at CAPITAL PAVING & CONSTRUCTION LLC?
Capital Materials is looking to fill a Loader Operator position at our Asphalt Plant in Rolla, Missouri.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Move, load, and handle materials with the use of a front-end loader and occasionally other large machinery.
- Responsible for transporting material from stockpiles to feeder bins to supply the plant.
- Ensure the asphalt plant feeder bins do not run empty during production hours.
- Perform daily checks and maintenance on loaders, such as lubricating, checking fluid levels, fueling, and cleaning.
- Assist the plant team with plant maintenance and special projects at the plant site
- Adhere to OSHA rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment.
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights
- Front-end loader experience is required
- General knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed
- Reliable transportation
- Willing to travel/work out of town, as needed
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
