What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service/Cashier position at CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BOARD?
Currently seeking people who are available on some or all weekend days.
Primarily hours:
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 10am-6pm
- Can do short shifts, like 10am-2pm or 2pm-6pm or 11am-5pm
- Flexibility is possible, but weekend availability is a must
Additional hours may be available, sometimes required, outside of our regular 10am-6pm, as needed for special events at Lucas Oil Stadium, Gainbridge Fieldhouse and the Indiana Convention Center.
JOB DUTIES
opening procedures (begin at 9:45am)
closing procedures (end at 6:15pm)
handling cash
ringing sales through point-of-sale system (Lightspeed)
cleaning
merchandising, restocking, organizing and updating product displays
inventory counts
heavy conversation, heavy customer engagement; giving guests recommendations for restaurants, local attractions, events, etc.
building knowledge on local attraction partners featured at The INDEX - The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, Eiteljorg Museum, Indiana Historical Society, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, Indianapolis Zoo, Conner Prairie, Newfields, Indiana State Museum more.
building knowledge on products we carry, artists we work with
building knowledge on current offerings throughout the city, seasonal events and attractions, and upcoming events hosted by Visit Indy and ICCLOS
