About the role:
We are seeking an Individual Sales Representative to promote and sell Capital Health Plan (CHP) Marketplace Individual plans to individuals and families within our service area. This role engages prospective members through face‑to‑face benefit events, community outreach, scheduled appointments, walk‑ins, and phone‑based consultations.
The Individual Sales Representative also supports the Individual Sales & Retention Manager by coordinating and tracking sales activities, assisting with reporting, and supporting compliance‑driven marketing initiatives. This role plays an important part in enrollment growth, member retention, and representing CHP within the community while ensuring adherence to CMS and OIR marketing guidelines.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of two years of related sales, marketing, or customer-facing experience preferred
- Strong ability to engage and educate individuals and families on health plan options
- Ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally in person, by phone, and in group settings
- Experience building relationships with community organizations, agencies, or referral partners
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track activities, maintain records, and preparate reports
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- A current State of Florida Health Insurance License
- A current Federally-facilitated Marketplace (FFM) certification or obtain one within 30 days of employment
Highly preferred candidates also have:
- Experience selling health insurance, Medicare, Marketplace, or related benefit products
- Familiarity with CMS and OIR marketing and compliance requirements
- Experience participating in community events, benefit fairs, or outreach initiatives
- Experience completing enrollment, welcome calls, and outbound retention calls
- Knowledge of the CMS HPMS system or Marketplace Learning Management System (MLMS)
