Medical Receptionist – Multi-Site Podiatry Practice

The Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you play a vital role in ensuring our clinics run smoothly. This position requires local travel, as you will support our team across our three convenient locations in Okemos, Grand Ledge, and St. Johns.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Coordination: Warmly greeting patients, checking them in/out, and managing the waiting area flow.
- Communication: Managing and Speaking with patients on multi-line phone systems, screening calls, and handling patient inquiries with professionalism.
- Scheduling: Coordinating appointments and managing the digital calendar.
- Administrative Support: Processing co-pays, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Office Synergy: Assisting with light filing, faxing, and general front-desk upkeep to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Mobility: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute between our three office locations (Okemos, Grand Ledge, and St. Johns).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills. You should feel comfortable talking to patients on the phone and patients of all ages.
- Tech-Savvy: Basic computer proficiency is required; experience with medical billing or EMR software is a major plus.
- Reliability: We need someone punctual who can manage their schedule across different sites effectively.
- Professionalism: Ability to handle sensitive patient information with strict confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
