What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Damage Restoration Technician position at Capital Fire & Water, Inc.?
Capital Fire and Water, a locally owned and operated restoration contractor, is currently seeking to hire a restoration/mitigation technician to join our team. We are looking for a dependable employee that has a great work ethic, positive attitude and is ready to work. This is a full-time position that consists of demolition of damaged building materials, drying homes/businesses with industry-specific equipment, extracting water, fire damage demo, mold remediation and completing other tasks to aid in restoring our customers' homes.

Job Responsibilities / Duties:
- Respond to emergency service fire and water damage jobs daily
- Demo of damaged and/or wet building materials
- Set up industry-specific equipment to aid in drying of structures
- Utilize equipment to take moisture readings, measurements, etc.
- Extract water from flooded structures when necessary
- Accomplish restoration projects independently or as part of a team in a timely manner
- Participate in emergency on-call rotation and complete daily duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements:
- The ideal candidate for this position would have prior demo, construction or mitigation experience, an exceptional work ethic, strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Industry certifications are preferred, but not required
- Ability to lift/carry over 50 lbs. frequently
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- A valid driver's license, clean driving record and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to pass background check is required (felony conviction would disqualify the applicant from this opportunity.)
Pay-rate will be determined by the amount of relatable experience you bring to the table ($17.00 - $20.00 per hour)
