Beginnings has a Full Time Opening for a Special Education Self-Contained Classroom Teacher to join our growing community of professionals.
As a Self-Contained Special Education Classroom Teacher, you will work closely with Beginnings therapists and support staff in a pre-school classroom. In this position the Special Education Teacher will develop and implement the IEP, as well as coordinate team/collaboration meetings, participate in professional development and supervise classroom support staff.
Responsibilities including (but not limited to):
- Implement the IEP, including data collection, writing daily progress notes, and measuring progress towards goals
- Implementing and adapting the curriculum
- Collaborate with the therapists
- Communicate regularly with families
- Supervise TA’s and 1:1 aides
- Create and implement behavior intervention plans
- Write annual reviews and attend IEP meetings
