What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Dispatcher position at Capital City Transportation?
The dispatcher helps keep our transportation operations running efficiently by monitoring our computer system to ensure drivers stay on schedule with their assigned trips. This role includes supporting drivers by reassigning trips when needed to maintain smooth service. Phone traffic is minimal, but the dispatcher will be responsible for answering any calls that come into the office. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is also part of the position.
Preferred skills and qualities include:
- Basic computer skills; training on our specific systems will be provided
- Ability to monitor schedules and adjust assignments as needed
- Clear communication with drivers.
- Familiarity with the Topeka area, which is a strong advantage
MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY - 1PM - 6PM. Will need to be able to pass a Drug Test.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
