Responsibilities
- Operate lawn mowers, power tools, hand tools, and landscaping equipment to maintain lawns, gardens, and hardscape features efficiently and safely
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, pruning trees and shrubs, and planting flowers or new greenery
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Identify various plants, trees, and pests to support healthy growth and pest management strategies
- Conduct grounds maintenance including snow plowing during winter months and debris removal to keep outdoor areas clean and safe
- Assist with tree care activities such as trimming or removal using appropriate equipment like excavators or chainsaws
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment
Requirements
- Prior outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance or landscaping preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of lawn care equipment, power tools, and irrigation systems required
- Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture practices, and pesticide management is highly desirable
- Ability to operate groundskeeping machinery such as excavators or snow plows safely and effectively
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to landscaping tools and outdoor work environments
- Strong attention to detail in performing landscape tasks accurately and efficiently
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions must have Equipment.
