The Opportunity:
As a Quality Control Manager, you’ll play a critical role in protecting the integrity of our mortgage lending process. Leveraging your deep expertise in residential mortgage underwriting and regulatory compliance, you will ensure every closed loan meets investor eligibility requirements and reflects consistent, high-quality underwriting standards.
In this role, you’ll go beyond file review. You’ll be a trusted quality leader—identifying trends, documenting findings, and delivering actionable insights that strengthen processes, elevate performance, and reduce risk. What Success Looks Like:
Successful Quality Control Managers at our organization typically:
- Bring a strong command of residential mortgage underwriting and regulatory compliance, including FHA, VA, and conventional loans
- Apply sharp analytical skills to review loan files, uncover risks, and identify improvement opportunities
- Proactively anticipate issues and recommend practical, forward-looking solutions
- Influence change by recommending and implementing workflow or policy enhancements that improve accuracy and efficiency
- Communicate clearly and constructively, providing feedback that drives learning and performance
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage underwriting guidelines, 3 years preferred.
- Strong understanding of mortgage regulations and compliance requirements
- Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator (or willingness to obtain licensing)
- Proven experience training, mentoring, or leading teams in a mortgage operations environment
- Familiarity with loan origination systems such as Encompass and other compliance-related tools
