Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated part- time Carpet Cleaning Technician to join our professional cleaning team. This role involves providing high-quality carpet and floor care services to residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial or custodial services, with a focus on environmental and commercial cleaning. The technician will be responsible for ensuring carpets and floors are thoroughly cleaned, maintained, and restored to their best condition, contributing to a clean and healthy environment for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Operate carpet cleaning equipment, including steam cleaners and extractors, to remove dirt, stains, and allergens from carpets and upholstery
- Perform floor care tasks such as buffing, polishing, and maintaining various flooring surfaces
- Conduct routine janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, and general cleaning of designated areas
- Assess cleaning needs of different surfaces and select appropriate cleaning solutions and methods
- Maintain equipment in good working condition through regular cleaning and troubleshooting
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with the cleaning results
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or custodial work, preferably in environmental or commercial settings
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, polishing, and maintenance of various flooring types
- Expertise in carpet cleaning methods such as hot water extraction, steam cleaning, or dry cleaning processes
- Ability to operate professional cleaning equipment safely and effectively
