Range 20: Step 1 begins at $18.87 per hour however, with Superintendent or designee approval and written verification of work experience beyond the job description requirements, beginning salary placement could be as high as Step 6, $24.09 per hour.

Education Standard

Graduation from high school or equivalent.

Experience Standard

Experience working or volunteering in a classroom environment preferred.

Proficiency Standard

Pass a District proficiency test in English usage, language arts and mathematics, or pass California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), or have completed two years (60 semester units) of college.

Certifications

Valid First Aid and CPR certificates as authorized by an American Heart Association or American Red Cross provider. Will be required by date of hire.

Other

Participation in CUSD professional learning, related to the job functions of a Paraeducator II, once employed.

Requirements / Qualifications
