We are seeking a highly experienced z/OS Performance Monitoring Specialist to lead a mission-critical migration project transitioning from CA NetMaster to IBM OMEGAMON Network Monitoring solutions. This role is instrumental in enhancing enterprise mainframe monitoring capabilities, ensuring system reliability, and optimizing performance. The specialist will work closely with z/OS systems teams, guiding integration and modernization efforts across IBM mainframe environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the full lifecycle of the migration from CA NetMaster to IBM OMEGAMON Network Monitoring tools.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain IBM OMEGAMON performance monitoring tools across z/OS mainframe systems.
- Optimize performance data collection and alerting for enhanced operational insight.
- Collaborate with systems programmers, infrastructure engineers, and application teams to define monitoring requirements and implement best practices.
- Integrate OMEGAMON solutions with enterprise management frameworks for centralized visibility.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and operational standards.
- Provide training and mentorship to internal support teams on effective use of IBM OMEGAMON tools.
- Analyze system performance trends and proactively address potential bottlenecks or system risks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $30.05/hour - $46.95/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
