Solution Architect

• Design and Architecture Guidance Advise on RAC topology node configuration networking storage and cluster interconnect design to ensure alignment with Barclays technical standards and high availability requirements

• Implementation Support in Nonproduction Assist in the setup installation and configuration of Oracle Cluster ware ASM database instances and associated components across development and test environments

• Runbook and Operational Documentation Development Collaborate with Barclays technical teams to produce comprehensive runbooks and operational procedures covering installation steps maintenance activities failover testing monitoring processes and recovery procedures

• Support for Additional Builds Provide guidance and hands-on assistance for building out RAC environments in preproduction and production ensuring consistency and adherence to established design principles

• Senior Database Administrator

• Responsible for RAC implementation configuration performance tuning and migration support

• RAC Awareness and Application Readiness Work with application teams to assess RAC compatibility and identify necessary changes related to connection management services session handling and workload distribution

• Performance Assessment and Optimisation Provide support for diagnosing and resolving RAC related performance issues including cluster wide performance analysis interconnect diagnostics load balancing behaviour and cluster service configuration

• Issue Resolution and Technical Assistance Deliver ongoing expert support to troubleshoot cluster database and application-level issues encountered during implementation or operational phases ensuring timely issue resolution and minimal service disruption
  

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $40.45/hour - $63.20/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
