Responsibilities:
Strategic Roadmap Development: Define and maintain the long-term technical roadmap for the data program, ensuring phased delivery of features that provide incremental business value.
End-to-End Ecosystem Design: Architect the integration of disparate technologies (e.g., AWS Glue, Snowflake, Kafka) into a unified platform for real-time and batch processing.
Architectural Governance: Establish and enforce standards for data modeling, security, and quality across all projects within the program.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate with Data Architects, Engineers, and DevOps to ensure individual solution blueprints remain compatible with the overall program architecture.
Risk & Performance Management: Identify technical risks and bottlenecks early, conducting Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to validate new technologies before full-scale implementation.
Stakeholder Management: Translate business goals into technical requirements for IT teams and report on program architectural health to senior leadership
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Enterprise Experience: 12 years in IT, with 5 years in lead architecture roles for large-scale data programs.
Cloud & Hybrid Platforms: Mastery of cloud-native data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery) and hybrid integration patterns.
Advanced Data Patterns: Expert knowledge of modern architectures like Data Mesh, Data Lakehouse, and real-time streaming frameworks.
Governance & Compliance: Deep understanding of PII, CCPA, SOX, HIPPA and industry-specific data security standards.
Communication Mastery: Proven ability to influence executive-level decisions and lead technical workshops across diverse teams.
Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
Preferred Certifications:
TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $83.21/hour - $130.02/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
