POSTED ON 10/24/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/23/2026

Establish control of a complex, multi-tower infrastructure separation program, integrate execution across all workstreams, protect business continuity, restore delivery predictability, and sustain client confidence under significant executive scrutiny.

Role Summary:

  • The Senior Infrastructure Program Director leads the end-to-end delivery and recovery of complex, like-for-like infrastructure separation, divestiture, carve-out, and M&A integration programs. The role is accountable for turning multiple tower-level plans into one executable program, with a credible critical path, measurable milestones, clear ownership, disciplined governance, controlled scope and financials, and evidence-based reporting.

  • This leader must combine strong infrastructure knowledge, hands-on program control, commercial judgment, and executive presence. The role requires someone who can operate effectively in a high-pressure environment, challenge incomplete plans, resolve cross-stream dependencies, drive timely decisions, and translate technical activity into business outcomes without compromising operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end program ownership: Own overall delivery across multiple infrastructure workstreams, including the integrated plan, critical path, milestones, dependencies, decisions, risks, resources, financials, contractual commitments, and customer outcomes.

  • Integrated planning and dependency management: Create and maintain a single, baselined plan across Endpoint, Network, Hosting and Cloud, IAM and SSO, Cybersecurity, M365 and Collaboration, Service Desk and SIAM, ITSM and CMDB, monitoring, data center, application migration, and site migration activities.

  • Program recovery and stabilization: Assess delivery health, identify root causes and control gaps, establish corrective actions, and drive measurable get-to-green plans for at-risk milestones and workstreams.

  • Site migration orchestration: Lead site migration readiness from discovery and design through build, testing, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization, ensuring that technical, business, vendor, and operational dependencies are resolved before execution.

  • Milestone discipline and evidence: Define clear deliverables, accountable owners, target dates, entry and exit criteria, acceptance criteria, and objective evidence of completion. Challenge activity-based status that does not demonstrate an outcome.

  • Technical integration and quality: Provide sufficient technical leadership to challenge designs, plans, assumptions, sequencing, and readiness. Ensure technical materials are complete, internally consistent, decision-ready, and aligned to the separation strategy.

  • Governance and accountability: Establish a practical operating model with clear roles, decision rights, forums, escalation paths, RAID management, action tracking, and a single source of truth across customer, internal, vendor, and advisory teams.

  • Scope and change control: Maintain disciplined control of SOW commitments, assumptions, exclusions, deliverables, acceptance criteria, and changes. Identify out-of-scope activity early, quantify delivery and financial impact, and drive timely commercial decisions and Change Requests.

  • Financial and resource management: Own budgets, forecasts, actuals, variances, milestone economics, vendor spend, and cost-to-complete. Align capacity, location strategy, skill mix, utilization, and deployment timing to delivery priorities.

  • Leadership and staffing: Assess whether the program has the right leaders, SMEs, architects, project managers, and local support. Address capability or capacity gaps quickly and clarify accountability where ownership is fragmented.

  • Risk, issue, and escalation management: Surface schedule, technical, readiness, resource, vendor, security, operational, and commercial risks early. Escalate with facts, business impact, options, recommendation, and the specific decision required.

  • Executive and client communication: Provide concise, candid, decision-oriented reporting. Maintain transparency on progress, risks, customer impact, recovery actions, and leadership asks without creating unnecessary noise or false confidence.

  • Client confidence and onsite leadership: Anticipate stakeholder concerns, set realistic expectations, resolve critical issues with urgency, and provide visible leadership during key workshops, executive reviews, readiness events, and cutovers.

  • Transition to operations: Ensure delivery outputs are operationally supportable, documented, accepted, and transitioned with clear support ownership, service readiness, knowledge transfer, monitoring, recovery, and stabilization criteria.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • 15 years of progressive technology delivery experience, including senior accountability for large, complex, multi-tower infrastructure programs.

  • Required: hands-on leadership of at least one corporate divestiture, carve-out, separation, or M&A integration involving significant infrastructure transition and operational continuity risk.

  • Demonstrated success leading or recovering programs with executive escalation, unclear ownership, interdependent workstreams, compressed timelines, and significant customer scrutiny.

  • Strong experience building integrated plans and critical paths across infrastructure towers and site migrations, including discovery, design, build, testing, readiness, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization.

  • Working knowledge of hosting and cloud, networks, IAM, SSO, endpoint, cybersecurity, M365 and collaboration, data center, backup and recovery, monitoring, ITSM, CMDB, Service Desk, and SIAM.

  • Proven experience with SOW development and interpretation, deliverables, assumptions, acceptance criteria, change control, financial management, budgeting, forecasting, vendor management, and resource optimization.

  • Ability to connect technical dependencies to customer impact, business continuity, schedule, cost, contractual exposure, and executive decisions.

  • Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex issues, state uncomfortable facts constructively, and present clear options and recommendations.

  • Experience engaging CIO-1 leaders, steering committees, architects, delivery executives, customer leaders, vendors, and third-party advisors.

  • Manufacturing, global site migration, or large-scale workplace transformation experience strongly preferred.

  • Ability to travel periodically to customer and delivery locations based on program needs, including critical workshops, readiness reviews, and cutovers.

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, engineering, business, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant program certification is preferred.

Leadership Profile:

  • Delivery focused: Creates momentum, removes blockers, and remains personally accountable through completion.

  • Technically credible: Understands infrastructure interactions well enough to challenge plans, expose risk, and connect tower decisions.

  • Commercially astute: Understands the relationship between scope, commitments, cost, risk, change control, and delivery execution.

  • Executive ready: Communicates with confidence, brevity, judgment, and clear recommendations.

  • Integrative and decisive: Connects workstream activity to program outcomes, resolves ambiguity, and drives timely decisions.

  • Recovery minded: Diagnoses systemic delivery problems, establishes practical controls, and converts recovery commitments into measurable outcomes.

  • Composed under pressure: Maintains credibility and judgment during escalations, major cutovers, and customer-critical events.

  • Transparent and customer oriented: Builds trust through realistic commitments, early visibility of risks, responsiveness, and consistent follow-through.

  • Hands-on but scalable: Goes into the detail when needed while creating governance and accountability that do not depend on one person.

Role Scope and Authority:

  • The Senior Infrastructure Program Director is expected to challenge incomplete plans, request corrective action, escalate unresolved cross-functional issues, recommend staffing and governance changes, and drive alignment across the infrastructure delivery organization.

  • The role works in close partnership with account, commercial, architecture, security, operations, and tower leadership while retaining end-to-end accountability for program integration and delivery control.
