This role will partner closely with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Financial Systems, and IT stakeholders to convert manual processes into scalable Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, SharePoint-based solutions, dashboards, approval tools, and operational support capabilities.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who can work directly with business users, translate process requirements into technical solutions, support production applications, troubleshoot workflow failures, manage access and security-related requests, and continuously improve finance process automation.
This role is well suited for someone who is comfortable operating at the intersection of business process, low-code development, data integration, controls, and user support.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, enhance, and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate solutions supporting Finance Transformation, ticketing, approval workflows, PAN/DAN/AAN forms, dashboards, and operational intake processes.
Develop and support automated workflows that process finance requests, route approvals, generate notifications, update SharePoint lists, and produce operational outputs for downstream teams.
Create and maintain SharePoint-backed data models, lists, forms, and supporting documentation for production applications.
Support application lifecycle management, including development, QA/testing, production deployment, release validation, and ongoing enhancement tracking.
Partner with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, Financial Systems, and IT teams to gather requirements, document user needs, prioritize enhancements, and translate business process gaps into technical solutions.
Troubleshoot production issues across Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, dashboards, permissions, data outputs, and user access.
Build and enhance bulk upload templates, approval workflows, and automation logic to reduce manual processing and improve consistency across finance operations.
Support integrations and data handoffs between finance platforms, reporting environments, and automation tools, including systems such as PeopleSoft, TM1/EPM, SharePoint, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric where applicable.
Create clear documentation, training materials, user guidance, and support procedures for business users and support teams.
Maintain strong controls around financial data updates, user permissions, workflow changes, production releases, and auditability of process changes.
Minimum Experience:
5 years of experience in application development, business process automation, systems support, or financial systems technology.
3 years of hands-on experience building solutions with Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power Apps and Power Automate.
2 years of experience supporting Finance, Accounting, FP&A, ERP, EPM, or enterprise operational workflows.
Experience supporting production applications, troubleshooting user issues, managing enhancement requests, and working directly with business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Lists, forms, workflows, and approval automation.
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable app designs, workflow logic, data structures, and supportable processes.
Experience with Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Power BI, and related collaboration/data tools.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose failures, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes.
Experience working with business users to clarify requirements, document processes, test solutions, and support adoption.
Understanding of controls, permissions, environment management, and production change discipline.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
Ability to manage multiple enhancement requests, support tickets, production issues, and stakeholder priorities at the same time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting Finance Transformation, ERP, EPM, FP&A, Accounting, or shared services environments.
Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Oracle EPM/TM1, NetSuite, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or similar finance/reporting platforms.
Experience building or supporting ticketing tools, intake workflows, operational dashboards, approval workflows, and bulk upload processes.
Experience with application lifecycle management, including dev/test/prod environments, release documentation, testing, and deployment coordination.
Experience with financial master data or chartfield-related processes such as projects, departments, accounts, activities, approvals, hierarchies, or reporting dimensions.
Experience creating user documentation, training guides, process maps, and support runbooks.
Experience working in a controlled finance environment where accuracy, traceability, and auditability are important.
Success Profile:
A successful candidate will be a practical, business-oriented developer who can move between requirements gathering, hands-on build work, production support, and stakeholder communication.
They should be comfortable owning an application or automation from design through support, proactively identifying control or usability gaps, and improving manual finance processes through well-documented, scalable automation.
