Kafka Platform Engineer

• The Kafka Platform Engineer is responsible for engineering, administering, and enhancing the enterprise Kafka platform.

• The platform serves as the strategic event-streaming backbone for real-time data movement, application integration, and event-driven architectures across the enterprise.
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Kafka producers, consumers, and stream-processing solutions.

• Administer Kafka clusters, topics, brokers, consumer groups, and connectors.

• Deploy and manage Kafka Connect integrations.

• Configure Schema Registry, ACLs, RBAC, TLS, and platform security controls.

• Develop custom connectors using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build automated deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.

• Deploy Kafka workloads to OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.

• Monitor platform health using Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, and Splunk.

• Support CDC integrations using Oracle GoldenGate and Debezium.

• Drive platform standardization, automation, and self-service enablement.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $39.59/hour - $61.86/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
