The Guidewire PolicyCenter SME serves as the functional and technical authority for PolicyCenter implementations enhancements and ongoing support This role bridges business stakeholders product owners and technical delivery teams to ensure PolicyCenter solutions align with underwriting rating policy lifecycle and regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Functional Business Expertise:
Act as the primary subject matter expert for Guidewire PolicyCenter functionality configuration and best practices
Translate business requirements underwriting rating policy issuance endorsements renewals cancellations into PolicyCenter solutions
Advise business stakeholders on out of the box OOTB vs configurable vs custom solutions
Ensure solutions comply with regulatory compliance and audit requirements
Support product configuration for lines of business eg Personal Commercial Specialty
Configuration Solution Design:
Lead or review
Product model configuration LOBs coverages conditions exclusions
UIPCF configuration
Rules underwriting validation eligibility
Rating and underwriting integrations
Provide solution design recommendations aligned with Guidewire best practices
Review and approve design documents configuration approaches and impact assessments
Integration Technical Collaboration:
Collaborate with integration teams on PolicyCenter integrations with
BillingCenter ClaimCenter
Thirdparty systems rating engines document management CRM data providers
Support data model alignment and messaging patterns SOAPREST messaging events
Partner with architects and developers on Gosubased implementations
Testing Release Support:
Define and validate test scenarios for functional regression and UAT testing
Support defect triage and resolution during SITUAT
Provide golive and postproduction support including issue analysis and stabilization
Governance Best Practices:
Enforce configuration standards naming conventions and coding best practices
Mentor business analysts configurators and junior developers
Contribute to COE standards documentation and knowledge sharing
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
5-10 years of experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter
At least 12 full Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations or major upgrades
Strong Property Casualty PC insurance domain knowledge
Technical Functional Skills:
Deep expertise in:
Policy lifecycle processes
Product Model configuration
PolicyCenter rules and UI configuration
Working knowledge of
Gosu PCF XML
Guidewire Studio
Integrations and messaging events
Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud GC onprem or hybrid deployments
Soft Skills:
Strong stakeholder communication and facilitation skills
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into businessfriendly language
Leadership mindset with strong problemsolving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Guidewire PolicyCenter Certification Functional or Developer
Experience with PolicyCenter upgrades or cloud migration
Exposure to ClaimCenter and BillingCenter
Agile/Scrum delivery experience
Key Deliverables:
Business requirement mappings to PolicyCenter functionality
Configuration and design review signoffs
Functional specifications and solution guidance
UAT support and production readiness validation
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $42.93/hour - $67.08/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
