We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Testing Engineer with strong Python scripting capabilities and hands-on experience in AWS services such as S3, Glue, RDS, and Lambda. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in ETL testing, SQL procedures, and data validation, along with exposure to AI tools, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Python (Pandas, PyTest, etc.) for data workflows and batch jobs.
- Perform data validation by writing and executing complex SQL queries.
- Test and validate AWS Glue jobs, S3 buckets, RDS, DynamoDB, and Lambda functions.
- Analyze data against mapping documents and debug issues to identify root causes.
- Design and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL and database workflows.
- Conduct API and web service testing using tools like Swagger.
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized testing environments.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity, Jenkins, Octopus).
- Leverage AI-based tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance test coverage and observability.
- Explore and apply low-code/no-code automation techniques for testing.
- Use Jira or similar tools to manage Agile testing processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience with Gen AI for test data generation and automation.
- Exposure to Snowflake, Data Lake architectures, and Bedrock model integration.
- Experience in the financial domain is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to take ownership of features, releases, and tasks in a fast-paced Agile environment.
