POSTED ON 10/16/2026

  • We are seeking an experienced Conversion Lead to own data conversion for the Finance, Procurement, and Order to Cash workstreams of Project Fusion, a multi-phase Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP deployment. This role specializes in the Record to Report (Finance), Procurement, and Order to Cash process areas, including but not limited to General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets (FA), Projects, Accounts Payable (AP), Purchasing (PO), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Order Management (OM).

  • The Conversion Lead reviews the functional and technical designs our System Integrator (SI) partner prepares, sets the guardrails and best practices that govern conversion, and coordinates the business owners, data cleanse teams, and technical stakeholders who deliver clean, reconciled data across every mock load and the final cutover. The ideal candidate combines deep finance, procurement and supply chain data knowledge with hands-on Oracle Cloud migration experience and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Conversion Strategy, Guardrails, and Best Practices:

  • Define the conversion approach, standards, and guardrails for all in-scope modules, including data ownership, load sequencing, entry and exit criteria for each mock load, and go/no-go criteria for cutover.

  • Establish best practices for cutover cut-off dates, open-item versus historical data scope, balance conversion, and the treatment of inactive, duplicate, and obsolete records.

  • Set data quality thresholds and sign-off standards, and enforce them across the SI team, business owners, and data cleanse teams.

  • Maintain a conversion risk and issue log, and escalate dependencies and risks to project leadership early.

Review of SI Functional and Technical Designs:

  • Review and challenge the functional design documents, technical design documents, field-level mapping specifications, and load templates the SI partner prepares for each conversion object.

  • Confirm that designs align with the Fusion configuration, including but not limited to ledgers, chart of accounts, business units, legal entities, and module-specific setup.

  • Verify that transformation rules, default values, validations, load sequencing, and error handling meet the guardrails we define, and that the designs support repeatable mock loads.

  • Approve or return designs with documented findings, and track remediation to closure.

Module-Specific Conversion Ownership:

Own end-to-end conversion for the in-scope modules, including but not limited to:

  • General Ledger (GL): balances, chart of accounts mappings, and journals.

  • Fixed Assets (FA): asset registers and depreciation balances.

  • Projects: project structures, budgets, and open balances.

  • Accounts Payable (AP): suppliers and open payables.

  • Purchasing (PO): open purchase orders and agreements.

  • Accounts Receivable (AR): customers and open receivables.

  • Order Management (OM): open sales orders and agreements.

  • Manage cross-module dependencies and load sequencing, including supplier and customer masters, ledger setup, and Projects, so that each load completes in the correct order.

Data Cleanse and Business Coordination:

  • Lead the data cleanse strategy for Finance, Procurement, and Order to Cash data, including duplicate supplier and customer consolidation, address and tax standardization, bank account validation, and retirement of inactive records.

  • Work with business data owners and data cleanse teams to assign owners, set cleanse deadlines, and resolve discrepancies identified in the legacy data.

  • Define data standards and governance policies that support the ERP deployment and carry forward into steady state operations.

  • Facilitate regular working sessions among business users, functional leads, the SI partner, and technical teams so that all stakeholders agree on data requirements and mapping rules.

Mock Loads and Cutover:

  • Plan, schedule, and execute multiple rounds of mock data loads, and measure each round against the exit criteria.

  • Track load results, error trends, and defect resolution across rounds to demonstrate steady improvement in data readiness.

  • Lead the cutover conversion plan, including the load runbook, timing, dependencies, rollback options, and go-live support.

  • Optimize load performance and sequencing to minimize downtime during the final migration.

Data Validation and Reconciliation

  • Define and execute validation and reconciliation processes that confirm accuracy, completeness, and compliance with business rules.

  • Reconcile legacy source systems to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP at the balance and transaction level, including but not limited to trial balance, subledger-to-GL tie-outs, and open item counts and values.

  • Coordinate business user acceptance and sign-off on validation results for each module.

  • Document and report validation results and open discrepancies to project stakeholders.

Data Migration Tools and Technologies:

  • Apply Oracle Fusion migration tools, including File-Based Data Import (FBDI), ADFDI spreadsheet loaders, REST and SOAP APIs, and Oracle Enterprise Scheduler (ESS) jobs, together with supporting ETL and data quality tools.

  • Use Oracle BI Publisher and OTBI reports, along with SQL-based queries, to support validation and reconciliation.

  • Stay current with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP data migration best practices, release changes, and new tooling.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain complete documentation of conversion processes, including mapping rules, cleanse logs, validation scripts, reconciliation results, and issue logs.

  • Provide regular status updates to project leadership on data readiness, mock load results, cleanse progress, and risks.

Training and Knowledge Transfer:

  • Train business users, data stewards, and technical teams on data standards, governance, and conversion processes.

  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions so that we sustain data management practices after go-live.

Oracle EBS and Fusion Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) modules in scope, including GL, FA, PA, AP, PO, AR, and OM, and their underlying data structures.

  • Knowledge of the corresponding Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP tracks and the differences in data models between EBS and Fusion.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience leading data conversion on large ERP deployments, preferably Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, with direct ownership of two or more of the in-scope modules (GL, FA, Projects, AP, PO, AR, OM).

  • Hands-on experience with FBDI, ADFDI, REST APIs, and related migration tools and methodologies.

  • Demonstrated experience reviewing SI-prepared functional and technical designs and setting conversion standards.

  • Strong background in data analysis, validation, and financial reconciliation.

  • Experience managing multiple mock loads and at least one full production cutover.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Expertise in SQL, data modeling, and database management.

  • Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP data structures and integration frameworks.

  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality frameworks, and compliance standards.

  • Working knowledge of Oracle EBS data structures for the in-scope modules.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to guide cross-functional teams, SI partners, and business stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
