We are seeking an experienced Mainframe/Cobol Developer to support our legacy systems. This role involves maintaining and enhancing Cobol applications, performing upgrades, and ensuring system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance existing Cobol applications on mainframe systems.
Perform upgrades to ensure compatibility with modern environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in Cobol applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
Ensure system reliability and performance through regular maintenance and optimization.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Cobol programming and mainframe systems.
Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language) .
Experience with troubleshooting and debugging Cobol applications.
Strong understanding of legacy system architecture and modernization practices.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Experience with relational databases (e.g., DB2, IMS).
Familiarity with batch processing and scheduling tools.
Experienced in Mainframe batch support
Preferred Skills:
Experience with mainframe modernization projects.
Knowledge of CICS (Customer Information Control System).
Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $33.52/hour - $52.37/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
