Lead enterprise level data governance, documentation, and regulatory compliance initiatives for Bank of New York systems and cloud programs operating under FedRAMP and internal risk frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive end to end project delivery for data governance, metadata management, and documentation initiatives across highly regulated financial environments.
Coordinate technical teams, risk groups, and compliance stakeholders to ensure alignment with BNY governance standards, FedRAMP Moderate/High, NIST 800-53, and internal audit requirements.
Build and maintain comprehensive documentation packages (SSPs, POA&Ms, control narratives, data flows, architecture diagrams).
Oversee data classification, lineage mapping, retention, and access governance processes across cloud and on prem platforms.
Manage remediation activities for compliance gaps, audit findings, and data quality issues.
Establish structured project plans, reporting dashboards, RAID logs, and communication cadences with executives and security/risk partners.
Ensure delivery teams follow secure SDLC, change management, and evidence collection standards required for FedRAMP assessments.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 controls, risk assessments, and compliance documentation cycles.
Experience managing data governance programs in a large financial institution (preferably BNY or equivalent Tier 1 bank).
Proficiency in data governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, Azure Purview/Microsoft Purview).
Ability to translate technical details into audit ready documentation and executive reports.
Expertise in leading multi team technical projects: cloud, data, security, compliance, and infrastructure.
Fedramp experience
Certifications preferred: PMP, CISSP, CCSK/CCSP, FedRAMP/FISMA training, or similar.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $54.09/hour - $84.51/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
