Responsible for the full product lifecycle of audio and active sound systems across multiple vehicle programs. This role partners with internal teams and suppliers to plan, design, develop, integrate, and validate audio and active sound systems. The engineer is responsible for resolving system integration issues, ensuring production readiness, and supporting ongoing quality and serial production activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, validation, and integration of audio and active sound systems at the vehicle, system, and component levels.
Collaborate with Vehicle Function (VF) and Core Functional Technical Specification (CFTS) teams to align system requirements with vehicle program feature content.
Create and maintain system-level requirements and specification documents (EQs, CPDs, SGIDs, etc.).
Analyze vehicle program requirements, series cards, and product grids to assess impacts on audio and active sound systems and identify opportunities for optimization and complexity reduction.
Support early program development by providing input on system costs, timing, and technical feasibility.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration and validation issues to ensure production readiness.
Required Qualifications
Experience within the automotive industry.
Knowledge of automotive audio systems, modules, and active sound technologies.
Experience working with Vehicle Functions (VF), CFTS documentation, and system requirements management.
Strong understanding of system integration, validation, and product development processes.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $26.41/hour - $41.26/hour. Our offered benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
