YOUR ROLE
Scope & Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant (SC) on Capgemini Invent’s Life Sciences team, you will play a key client-facing role, managing on-site relationships, leading project workstreams, and supporting practice development through sales, recruitment, training, and team engagement. This position offers exposure to diverse projects, building both depth and breadth of experience.
Project Delivery –
- Lead defined workstreams within Life Sciences commercial and customer transformation programs, with emphasis on pharma marketing strategy, sales effectiveness, omnichannel engagement, and brand planning
- Drive business strategy development for commercial organizations, including customer segmentation, engagement models, brand activation, and go-to-market approaches, with CRM as a supporting capability
- Design and facilitate client workshops (e.g., commercial vision, customer journey, omnichannel strategy, CRM capability assessments), aligning diverse stakeholders around priorities, decisions, and next steps.
- Act as a day-to-day business advisor to client marketing, sales, and commercial leadership, supporting structured problem solving and strategic decision-making
- Shape CRM and omnichannel strategies that translate commercial and brand objectives into practical execution models, in close partnership with Salesforce platform teams
- Own delivery of workstreams, coordinating cross-functional teams of consultants, analysts, and technology specialists to deliver high-quality outputs on time and within scope
- Lead hypothesis-driven analyses to assess commercial performance, customer experience gaps, and transformation opportunities.
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, executive-ready recommendations, roadmaps, and client deliverables.
- Support development of AI-enabled commercial and CRM use cases (e.g., personalization, next-best-action, advanced targeting), grounded in business value rather than technology novelty
- Contribute to commercial and CRM capability maturity assessments, identifying gaps across strategy, processes, governance, data usage, and ways of working
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements and user stories, ensuring alignment between commercial intent and technical execution
Business Development
- Play a significant role in client proposals and RFI/RFP responses from initial brief to final sales presentations
- Identify potential personal business relationships that can be leveraged by the practice to develop new business
- Identify potential project extension and expansion opportunities while staffed on projects
People Development
- Support the expansion and strengthening of the team through recruiting, training, and community-building
- Support the upskilling of the Life Sciences team members on topics related to CRM, Omnichannel, and Salesforce
- Provide mentoring and coaching for junior team members
Skills and Experience
- 5 years of experience advising or working within Pharma/Life Sciences commercial teams on customer journey design, omnichannel engagement strategy, and CRM-enabled execution
- Strong understanding of omnichannel and customer engagement concepts, including customer journeys, segmentation, targeting, digital marketing, CRM enablement, and content personalization
- Experience working with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce Health Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud) from a business and advisory perspective—including defining requirements, use cases, and success metrics; hands-on development or configuration experience is beneficial, but not required
- Experience leading workstreams and coordinating small, cross-functional teams, including analysts and technology specialists
- Proven consulting skillset, including client-facing problem solving, workshop design and facilitation, executive storytelling, deck development, hypothesis-driven analysis, and client interviewing
- Strong quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure analyses and interpret insights to inform business decisions (not advanced engineering or coding)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with strong emphasis on storylining, executive communication, and analytical modeling
- Strong professional presence, with the ability to engage confidently with senior and executive-level client stakeholders
- Self-directed, proactive, and comfortable operating in ambiguous consulting environments
- Willingness to travel up to 80%, as required
- Undergraduate degree required
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $120,000 to $150,000. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
