Summary
We are seeking a Dental Office Assistant to join our team at Capehart Dental in Lewisville, TX. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our dental practice by assisting with patient care and administrative tasks. Your contributions will help us maintain our commitment to providing exceptional dental services.
Responsibilities:
· Scheduled patients for appointments based on their needs.
· Manage day-to-day operations of the front office.
· Prepare, maintain and monitor appointment schedule for the office.
· Confirm appointments and rescheduling patients.
· Verify dental insurance information for all new patients(includes 6 month recalls).
· Perform pre-authorization as needed and patient follow-up.
· Scan patient forms into dental software.
· Greeting and checking in patients and out before and after treatment.
· Answer incoming calls to include new patient calls, emergencies, and follow up.
· Work closely with clinical staff and other front office staff to assure smooth flow of schedule.
· Perform general front office duties.
· Perform clinical dental assistant duties if requested by doctor.
Education Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ of previous experience in dental front office.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in chair-side dental assisting.
- Must have current Dental Assistant License
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
