What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Front Office Administrator position at Solo Dental Office?
Job Description
Are you an experienced Dental Front Office expert looking for a low-stress home in a stable private practice?
We are a well-established, private solo general dentist in Dallas looking for a highly skilled administrator to run our front desk immediately.
The Best Part? We are NOT on any insurance networks. We are a 100% Fee-For-Service / Out-of-Network office. This means you can focus on patient care and service rather than fighting with PPO fee schedules and complex adjustments.
Our Environment:
- Soft-Paced: We value quality over quantity.
- Stable: We have 1 hygiene room that is booked out for months with a loyal patient base.
- Private: No corporate quotas, no DSO metrics. Just a traditional doctor-patient relationship.
Schedule
- Work Days: Monday – Thursday (Enjoy a 3-day weekend every week!)
- Office Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Required Arrival: 7:30 AM (30 minutes prior to opening for office prep and setup).
Benefits
- Paid Holidays: immediately available.
- Vacation Pay:
- Year 1: 1 Week (Prorated based on start date).
- Year 2 : Increases to 2 Weeks.
- Sick Pay:
- Year 1: 1 Week (Prorated based on start date).
Key Responsibilities
- Front Desk Command: You will be the sole person running the front desk.
- Financial Arrangements: Since we are Out-of-Network, you must be confident discussing financial policies and collecting payments at the time of service.
- Insurance Filing: While we are not on networks, we still file claims as a courtesy to patients. You must be an expert in filing, narratives, and following up on OON claims.
- Schedule Management: Manage the doctor’s schedule and the hygiene column efficiently using Dentrix.
- Accounts Receivable: Aggressive but polite management of the AR report.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of dental front office experience is required.
- Software: Excellent Dentrix skills are non-negotiable. You need to be ready to jump in immediately without software training.
- Insurance Knowledge: Must understand the difference between PPO and Fee-For-Service/OON billing and be able to explain this to patients clearly.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and ready to work at 7:30 AM sharp.
Application Instructions
Please apply with your resume. In your cover letter or note, please briefly confirm your experience with Dentrix and your comfort level working in a Fee-For-Service/Out-of-Network environment.
