Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations during assigned shifts, including cashiering, inventory management, and customer service.
- Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional shopping experiences.
- Oversee employee orientation, training & development initiatives to ensure staff are knowledgeable about products, POS systems, and store procedures.
- Manage scheduling, payroll processing, and shift assignments to optimize staffing levels and operational efficiency.
- Conduct interviewing and recruiting activities to build a strong retail sales team aligned with company standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, control stock movement, and oversee merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are maintained.
- Implement pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and marketing initiatives to boost store performance.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records related to sales transactions, cash handling, and store expenses.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, cash handling procedures, and store policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supervising retail sales teams with a strong background in retail management or shift supervision.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, and recruiting processes.
- Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management tools, and basic math for cash handling and sales calculations.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks such as merchandising, stocking, and operational oversight.
- Experience in retail industry sales management including customer service excellence and sales management strategies.
- Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lead teams through operational challenges while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Basic bookkeeping skills including payroll processing and inventory control practices.
