Cape Fear Family Law is hiring a Paralegal to join our Wilmington, North Carolina office.

We are looking for someone who is organized, resourceful, dependable, and ready to contribute in a fast-paced legal environment. This role is ideal for a paralegal who enjoys solving problems, managing multiple priorities, and supporting attorneys handling cases across different counties.

What You’ll Do

• Support multiple attorneys with cases in different counties
• Organize and maintain case files, deadlines, and legal documents
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Assist with court filings and hearing preparation
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
• Research information and find answers when questions arise
• Manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Help provide an excellent experience for our clients

What We’re Looking For

• A paralegal certificate, bachelor’s degree, or at least two years of experience in a similar legal role
• One to two years of paralegal or legal support experience preferred
• Familiarity with family law procedures
• Proficiency with legal technology and office software
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and research abilities
• Ability to multitask and support different attorneys across multiple counties
• Confidence taking initiative and finding solutions independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in our Wilmington office

Compensation

$20–$23 per hour, depending on experience.
