About This Job

As the Health Services Director for Children and Families, you lead and shape the health and well-being of our community's most vulnerable. You drive the strategic direction and operational excellence of all health services for children and families, ensuring high-quality, compassionate, and effective care. This role impacts lives directly by fostering healthy development and supporting strong family units through innovative programs and dedicated leadership. You create a lasting legacy of improved health outcomes and empowered families.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees all aspects of Healthcare Administration for children and family services, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates comprehensive Program Management strategies that align with organizational goals and community needs.
  • Leads Strategic Planning initiatives, setting clear objectives and measurable outcomes for health services.
  • Manages and monitors the departmental Budget Management, ensuring fiscal responsibility and optimal resource allocation.
  • Provides strong Staff Supervision, which includes hiring talented professionals, training new team members, offering ongoing work direction, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Ensures strict adherence to all local, state, and federal Regulatory Compliance standards and guidelines.
  • Integrates best practices in Child Welfare into all health service delivery models, prioritizing safety and well-being.
  • Champions and implements Family-Centered Care approaches, empowering families as active partners in their children's health journey.
  • Collaborates with community partners to address broader Community Health needs and expand access to vital services.
  • Guides the development and delivery of specialized Pediatric Health programs, ensuring age-appropriate and evidence-based care.
  • Analyzes data and trends to identify areas for improvement and innovation in service delivery.
  • Represents the organization in community forums and partnerships, advocating for the health needs of children and families.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Holds a Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Possesses a Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Demonstrates at least 5 years of progressive experience in Healthcare Administration, with a focus on children and family services.
  • Manages complex Program Management portfolios, including design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Leads Strategic Planning processes within a healthcare or social services environment.
  • Oversees significant departmental Budget Management, including forecasting and expenditure control.
  • Supervises and develops a team of healthcare professionals, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Ensures Regulatory Compliance in a healthcare setting, demonstrating knowledge of relevant laws and standards.
  • Works extensively within Child Welfare systems or related fields.
  • Implements and advocates for Family-Centered Care models.
  • Engages in Community Health initiatives and partnerships.
  • Possesses direct experience in Pediatric Health service delivery or oversight.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Applies expert knowledge of Healthcare Administration principles and practices.
  • Develops and executes effective Strategic Planning initiatives.
  • Manages financial resources with strong Budget Management skills.
  • Provides exceptional Staff Supervision, leadership, and team-building abilities.
  • Understands and applies all relevant Regulatory Compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrates deep knowledge of Child Welfare policies and practices.
  • Promotes and integrates Family-Centered Care philosophies.
  • Navigates and addresses complex Community Health issues.
  • Possesses specialized knowledge in Pediatric Health and development.
  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse audiences.
  • Analyzes data and makes informed decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Holds current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Possesses certifications in healthcare management or public health.
  • Demonstrates experience working with diverse populations and underserved communities.

Physical Requirements/Work Conditions

  • Works primarily in an office environment with occasional travel to community sites.
  • Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Operates standard office equipment, including computers and phones.
  • Lifts and carries up to 15 pounds occasionally.
