Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Director provides visionary leadership for all center operations, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
- Leads and manages all staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating performance, providing clear work direction and fostering professional growth.
- Oversees and guides the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum, ensuring alignment with best practices in Early Childhood Education and Child Development.
- Manages daily Program Management, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facility maintenance.
- Develops and monitors the center's budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficient resource utilization.
- Ensures full Regulatory Compliance with all local, state, and federal licensing standards and health and safety regulations.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with families through effective Parent Communication, fostering a collaborative partnership in children's development.
- Drives Strategic Planning initiatives, identifying opportunities for program enhancement and center growth.
- Cultivates a positive and collaborative culture, empowering staff through effective Team Leadership.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Possesses significant Childcare Management Experience, demonstrating successful leadership in an early childhood setting.
- Demonstrates a proven track record in Staff Management, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Applies expertise in Curriculum Development and implementation.
Knowledge/Skills
- Exhibits deep knowledge of Early Childhood Education principles and Child Development theories.
- Understands and applies best practices in Program Management and center operations.
- Manages financial resources effectively, demonstrating proficiency in Budget Management.
- Navigates and ensures adherence to Regulatory Compliance standards.
- Communicates clearly and empathetically with parents, staff, and community members.
- Inspires and motivates teams through strong Team Leadership skills.
- Develops and executes effective Strategic Planning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Holds a current Director Certification as required by state licensing.
- Possesses a Master's degree in a relevant field.
