GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Enrollment Management Counselor serves as the primary frontline resource for prospective students, current students, families, and community members by providing integrated enrollment services across admissions, financial aid, registration, records, and related student support functions. The position combines exceptional customer service, broad institutional knowledge, technology fluency, and student advocacy to help students successfully navigate the enrollment process from initial inquiry through persistence. Serving as a central point of contact, the Senior Enrollment Management Counselor resolves inquiries, connects students to appropriate resources, and facilitates timely access to services through in-person, virtual, and self-service channels. This role leverages multiple technology platforms, virtual service tools, and continuous improvement practices to deliver responsive, student-centered support and enhance the overall student experience.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students, current students, families, and community members seeking information and assistance regarding admissions, financial aid, registration, records, academic programs, and related student services.
- Provide comprehensive enrollment counseling and guidance by assessing individual student needs, explaining college policies, procedures, and requirements, and assisting students in navigating the enrollment process from initial inquiry through enrollment and persistence.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for enrollment-related policies, procedures, systems, and services, assisting colleagues in resolving complex student issues and supporting cross-functional enrollment management initiatives.
- Deliver student support through multiple service channels, including in-person appointments, telephone, email, text messaging, chat, virtual meetings, and other technology-enabled platforms.
- Review, process, and maintain enrollment-related forms, documentation, records, and transactions in accordance with institutional policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Utilize student information systems, customer relationship management systems, document imaging systems, communication platforms, and other technologies to research issues, process transactions, document interactions, and support student success.
- Analyze and resolve routine and complex student inquiries by exercising independent judgment, coordinating with campus offices, facilitating referrals, and connecting students with appropriate academic, financial, and support resources.
- Contribute to reports, correspondence, presentations, and other materials; maintain accurate records of student interactions; and compile data to support operational and service-related needs.
- Identify barriers to student enrollment and success and recommend improvements to processes, communications, technologies, and service delivery models that enhance the student experience and operational effectiveness.
- Maintain current knowledge of enrollment management policies, procedures, technologies, and best practices through professional development, training, committee participation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Perform related duties as assigned consistent with the responsibilities and classification of the position.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, Education or other closely related field; with two (2) years of experience and/or training that includes admissions, financial aid, enrollment management, academic advising, student services, customer service, recruitment, counseling, or related enrollment functions; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Experience utilizing technology, databases, AI-enabled tools, and multiple software systems to deliver student-centered services, resolve inquiries, and deliver exceptional services and support.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in a community college, higher education, or enrollment management environment.
- Knowledge of admissions, financial aid, registration, records, billing, and student support processes.
- Experience using student information systems, customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, degree planning and student success systems, virtual service technologies, and digital communication tools (e.g., Jenzabar, EAB Navigate360, Element451, Slate, Salesforce, or similar platforms).
- Bilingual or multilingual proficiency.

Additional Information:
COMPENSATION: Full-time, year-round MCCC Unit Position; Grade 4 with an anticipated annual salary range of $65,370- $76,116. Actual salary will be consistent with the MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Includes participation in a comprehensive employee benefits program including option for membership in the Massachusetts State Employees' Retirement System.
