Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive, creative, and clear communicator to join our team as a Communications & Marketing Specialist. In this role, you will be the engine behind our digital presence, responsible for developing and deploying messaging across multiple channels. From managing our email newsletters to creating marketing campaigns for internal products and events, you will ensure our members are informed, engaged, and supported.
Key Responsibilities- Email & Social Media: Draft, edit, and deploy high-quality content for our email communications and manage all association social media accounts. Maintain and refine email and social media strategy.
- Campaign Development: Create and execute marketing campaigns to promote internal products, professional development classes, and association events.
- Website Management: Maintain and regularly update the association website to ensure information is accurate, timely, and easy to navigate.
- Brand Integrity: Ensure all communications adhere to organizational brand standards, maintaining a consistent and professional "voice" for the association.
- Creative Support: Use design tools to create visually appealing assets for digital and print use.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the leadership team to support various association initiatives and member outreach programs.
- Experience: 0–4 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills with an ability to be direct, clear, and engaging.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with Canva is preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with Email Marketing software and website CMS platforms.
- Mindset: A proactive "self-starter" who can manage multiple deadlines, bring creative ideas to the table and follow through from idea to completion.
