What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Technician position at CAP’S Nursery & Landscape?
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to landscape installation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors and a keen eye for detail. Have reliable transportation, a good work ethic and integrity. While some experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right person.
Duties:
- Perform hardscape tasks, including installing and repairing irrigation systems, fences, and retaining walls.
- Operate power tools and equipment.
- Dig and install plants, trees, and other landscaping features.
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems, including sprinklers and drip irrigation.
- Use mechanical knowledge to diagnose and repair equipment and machinery.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and ensuring quality work.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in landscape installation or a related field preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Knowledge of power tools and equipment.
- Experience with landscaping and hardscape installation techniques.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and their installation and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
-Honesty and hard with with the ability and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license (if applicable). Chauffer's License preferred or ability to obtain chauffer's license. Ability to drive trucks with trailers preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Seasonal
Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
