General Dentist

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, comprehensive dental care in a clinical setting, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Provide general dental services to patients across all age groups, including prenatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Foster strong dentist-patient relationships by motivating and educating patients to promote cooperation and acceptance of recommended dental treatments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with clinical standards and regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in dental practices, techniques, and technologies through ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate with dental team members and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills and Qualifications:
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
- Valid dental license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality dental care across diverse patient populations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and team members.
- Ability to motivate and educate patients about oral health and treatment options.
- Commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional development.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Ability to perform each essential function duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
2. Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from a dental school accredited by the American Dental Association
3. Licensure from the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners
4. Current Arizona State Licensure Renewal Certificate
5. Current DEA Number certificate
6. CPR certified (BLS)
7. Possess a valid driver’s license.
8. Ability to read, write and speak English.
9. Good interpersonal and human relations skills are required. Must possess skills to empathize and care for a variety of patients, including low-income and diverse cultures and treat everyone (internal and external customers) with respect and dignity.
10. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times in all situations and follow the laws and intent of the most current HIPAA laws and regulations and Canyonlands’ security and privacy policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of directly related experience.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish/Navajo) language skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs with the ability to effectively communicate using Outlook.
