What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Program Control Analyst position at Canvas?
Duties
Managing complex contracts with multiple line items, funding streams, and subcontractors
Responsible for the set-up and maintenance of billable contracts in the Canvas accounting system (Deltek Costpoint) to ensure consistency with the contracts and support of the Program Management's contract performance reporting requirements
Support the development of plans, budgets, and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements for multiple contracts with a variety of contract types, such as FFP, CPFF, CPFF LOE, T&M, as well as hybrids
Follow established financial controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements
Monitor progress of program requirements and cost performance against plans to ensure contractual cost obligations are met
Participate in monthly Program Management Reviews
Produce monthly Financial Reporting slides and assist the Program Manager in briefing to the leadership team,
Produce cost reports and CDRLs to distribute to customers & internal management based on contractual deadlines
Conduct variance analysis of actuals vs baseline
Calculate and process invoices in Deltek Costpoint
Track travel costs and expeditures
Review and validate contract revenue
Generate reports of revenue, profit, and direct labor projections by contract
Initiate funding alerts to the contracts administrator for all contracts assigned
Allocate subcontractor funding and assist in the preparation of subcontractor funding modifications and associated purchase requisitions
Review of subcontractor/vendor invoices for accuracy
Work closely with contract administrators to review all new contracts and contract modifications
Assist in the investigations and resolution of AR invoice issues
Assist in the pricing of labor, travel, and materials for various types of contracts and proposals
Follow a closeout process to close out contracts when they are complete and after audit.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting or equivalent
Minimum of five years of program control/financial analyst experience in federal government contracting, specifically with complex CPFF contracts
Strong aptitude for using & enhancing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, strong commitment to customer service, and ability to plan and manage multiple tasks
Experience using Deltek Costpoint to include Billing, Invoicing, Project Setup, Project Reporting, Business Intelligence, desired
Experience with U.S. Air Force contracts is strongly desired.
