What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flight Test Scheduler position at Canvas II, LLC.?
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mission scheduling across aircraft, airspace, ranges, maintenance, instrumentation, frequency usage, and support personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and conflict free execution of test operations.
- Coordinate closely with government and contractor test teams to integrate resource requirements, deconflict competing demands, and ensure timely availability of aircraft, range assets, munitions, and specialized test equipment.
- Support long range strategic scheduling by developing, refining, and presenting planning products, schedule forecasts, resource matrices, and mission timelines for Test Wing leadership.
- Monitor high visibility test missions in real time, assess emerging factors (weather, maintenance status, airspace constraints), and resolve scheduling conflicts to maintain safe and effective mission execution.
- Oversee production, refinement, and continuous improvement of scheduling tools, processes, and mission documentation while providing technical guidance and mentorship to less senior schedulers.
- More than 10 years of relevant experience in flight operations, mission scheduling, range coordination, or test planning within military aviation environments.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage mission critical scheduling responsibilities and oversee or guide junior staff.
- Expert level familiarity with scheduling systems, range coordination processes, aircraft test requirements, and cross organizational resource integration.
- Proven experience supporting complex test programs and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Master’s degree in an applicable discipline required.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required.
