Job Overview
Canton Racing Products has been a manufacturer and distributor of a variety of aftermarket engine accessories for over 40 years. We have a solid reputation for building quality products and providing our customers with excellent service. We are currently looking for a proactive and detail oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the correct materials are received on time to meet customer demand and maintain inventory levels.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing procurement processes by projecting and planning for both production products and raw materials. This position requires negotiation skills, an understanding of procurement management, and the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Review sales and stock levels to determine items that need purchase orders or production orders.
- Create purchase orders after determining material and supply needs..
- Analyze and negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers
- Manage vendor relationships and performance, including researching and sourcing new vendors.
- Review open orders and expedite, delay or cancel order as necessary to meet demands
- Collect receivers and invoices and submit to Accounts Payable for processing
Skills
- Understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Experience in sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management.
- Negotiation skills
- Knowledge of inventory control practices.
- MS Office skills, including word and excel
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- An Understanding of the manufacturing process
