Job Summary
Cantex Continuing Care Network is a Texas‑based healthcare organization providing skilled nursing, rehabilitation, home health, hospice, and senior care services. We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Intern to support daily financial operations. This hands‑on internship provides exposure to billing workflows, cash posting, AR reconciliation, collections support, and financial documentation in a collaborative and fast‑paced healthcare environment.
Qualifications:Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Interest in learning accounts receivable processes, healthcare billing, and financial operations
Essential Functions
• Enter and update payment information in AR systems
• Support data entry for accounts receivable records and financial logs
• Track outstanding payments and flag past‑due accounts for follow‑up
• Assist with filing, organizing, and maintaining financial documents
• Support the AR team with routine administrative and clerical tasks
• Review accounts for accuracy, discrepancies, and missing information
• Assist with basic follow‑up communications regarding unpaid invoices
• Participate in team projects, audits, and general financial support activities
