Summary
Canterbury School, a college preparatory, coeducational boarding and day high school located in New Milford, CT, seeks an enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join its’ Dining Services team.
The Food Service Worker will be an integral part of the Dining Services team, working primarily in the main dining hall kitchen. This role will interact with students, as well as faculty and staff, and requires a positive attitude and excellent cleaning and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
· Assist with daily food preparation, cooking, portioning and presentation.
· Prepare and maintain deli bar and operate a commercial meat and cheese slicer.
· Setup, stock, maintain and breakdown food service stations.
· Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, café service, catering and special events.
· Follow proper food safety and health department codes.
· Assist with support other kitchen operations as needed, including dishes, garbage and fryer cleaning.
· Tasks listed is not all-inclusive, additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Position Requirements
· Serve safe a plus, training and certification available
· Regular and consistent attendance with the ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends and some holidays
· High school diploma or GED preferred
· Must be able to sit, stand, bend, pull, stoop, walk and move frequently during working hours, lifting up to 50 pounds and working in hot/cold environments.
· Pervious food service is preferred.
· Experience using a commercial kitchen equipment.
· Ability to work independently part of a team and in a fast pace environment.
· Strong communication skills.

Canterbury School is a co-educational, boarding high school located in northwestern Connecticut, approximately one-hour northeast of New York City.
