Part-Time High School Math Teacher

Canterbury Classical School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic part-time High School Mathematics Teacher to teach Algebra II and Pre-Calculus. We are looking for an educator who loves mathematics, delights in helping students grow in understanding, and is committed to the cultivation of wisdom, virtue, and a lifelong love of learning.

• Teach Algebra II and Pre-Calculus to high school students.
• Develop and deliver engaging, well-organized lessons that promote mathematical understanding, logical reasoning, and problem-solving.
• Establish clear expectations and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
• Assess student learning, provide meaningful feedback, and communicate progress to students and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student growth and uphold the school’s academic standards and mission.
• Model intellectual curiosity, integrity, and a commitment to the school’s Christian mission.

• A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in Algebra II and Pre-Calculus.
• Experience teaching high school mathematics preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• A genuine enthusiasm for working with high school students and helping them develop confidence and competence in mathematics.
• A commitment to classical Christian education and a willingness to support Canterbury’s mission and values.
